Atfirstimpression this wine is WOW!!—an aromatic avalanche containing brooding, yet bright, head-spinning aromas of blackberry compote, black raspberries, cherry liqueur, black currant in cream, brambly plums and pencil lead. Subtler aromas of tobacco, dark Asian spices, dark mocha, and toasted nuts add yet another dimension of complexity. Similar to Right Bank Bordeaux, the Tenacious is opulent, soft and lush with mouthcoating and savory black/blue fruits complimented by finely structured tannins. This hedonistic wine is delicious now and over the next 10+ years.
